The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening with HortiSoc is moving ahead launching\u00a0a brand new event,\u00a0HIS Forum<\/strong>, for the first time, creating a platform to expand the mutual trust and relation with industries\u00a0and the department.<\/p>\n The Department has taken a step forward to\u00a0strengthen the relationship<\/strong>\u00a0between industry and the department by launching a \u201cHorticulture Industries Stakeholders Forum<\/strong>\u201d (HISF 2025<\/strong>), aiming to understand the opportunities and continuing our mutual trust and collaboration between university and industry, on the\u00a012th<\/sup>\u00a0November 2025<\/strong>\u00a0with the participation over\u00a060 collaborative companies (offering IPT placements) and over 200 DHLG undergraduate students,<\/strong>\u00a0at the Multi-Designated center in the Makandura premises, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n This is a special event, where \u201cHIS Forum\u00a02025\u201d creates a common platform for all companies that facilitate students\u2019 in-plant trainings to discuss, giving feedback for improvement, identifying horticulture stakeholders’ requirements, recognizing staff and students’ strengths and opportunities, and networking.<\/p>\n
