Prof. Kapila Yakandawala

Prof. Kapila Yakandawala graduated with a BSc (Honours), majoring in Botany, University of Peradeniya, MSc in Horticulture, University of Reading, UK and PhD from University of Colombo in Plant Sciences. Prof. Yakandawala is currently working in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening in the Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka as a Professor in Landscape Horticulture. He has served as the Head, Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening for 6 years and in many other committees in the Wayamba University and other institutes. Currently he is serving as the Chairman, Research Development and Higher Degrees committee of the Faculty. He served as a visiting lecturer in many institutes including PGIS and PGIA of University of Peradeniya. To his credit, he has 25 publications in refereed journals, over 60 publications as extended abstracts and over 70 abstracts.
